Who is Eligible?

Applicants must own (or be buying) their homes and live in Washington or Benton County. There are income requirements that vary depending on the size of your family. For example, a single person can have an income of $29,750 and for a family of five the income limit is $45,900.  Please see the attached “Homeowner Qualifying Guidelines” for the qualifications.

Rebuilding Together of NWA targets senior citizens, people with disabilities and families with children to help. There is no charge to the homeowner. Through the generous contributions of our sponsors, we are able to provide needed services at no charge to the homeowner.

We do ask homeowners and able-bodied family members to participate as much as possible in the rehabilitation of their home, and ask that family members and friends not willing to work not be at your home during Rebuilding Day if you are selected.

Rebuilding Together is a non-profit organization supported entirely by contributions of time, labor, material and money. We are dedicated to repairing homes of those who, due to financial hardship, age, and/or disability, cannot do the work themselves. If you’d like your home to be considered, please complete the attached application and return it to Rebuilding Together of Northwest Arkansas as soon as possible. Or call (479) 725-2488 for an application. Please include verification of income with your application.

To be eligible for consideration in the program, you must:

Own and live in your home

Qualify as a low-income household per the federal guidelines

Live in Benton or Washington counties

Home safety is the first priority of Rebuilding Together. Volunteer teams will provide improvements that improve the safety and comfort of your home. Please understand that it may not be possible to complete all work items requested on the application. Because projects are primarily short-term, major repairs are usually not possible. Skilled and unskilled volunteers will work under the direction of a skilled professional to make your home safe, warm and dry.

If you have any questions about the program or if you need assistance in completing the application, call our office at (479) 725-2488. All qualified homeowners who apply will be reviewed by the selection team. The information they gather will be used in determining the homes to be repaired on our next Rebuilding Day. After final site selections have been made, all applicants will be notified in writing as to whether or not their home has been selected for the next Rebuilding Day.

Due to the many applications we receive, selection of participants in Rebuilding Together of NWA is very limited. The submission of an application does not guarantee your participation, even if you meet all of the guidelines.

Thank you for your interest in Rebuilding Together. Please click on the file below to download the homeowner application. There is one application for both Rebuilding Day  and Rebuilding Year-Round Program and there is a separate application for the R.A.M.P. Program.

“I’ll never forget what a fun day it was having all those wonderful volunteers at my home. We came together as strangers that day, but when they left, it felt like I was saying goodbye to family.” -Homeowner

“It’s hard to believe what all was accomplished in such a short time. It reminded me of an old-time barnraising. I’ll never forget what a blessing this was to me.” -Homeowner
